Halloween 2006

Here is our little turtle all ready for an evening of trick-or-treating. Our neighbors, Will & Jenny and their 1 year old daughter Larissa, stopped by on their way around the neighborhood. We asked to go with them, as they were smart enough to bring their 2 passenger wagon along. Shayna hopped in and Will led them on their trick-or-treating adventure.

The girls were so cute dressed in their costumes! Larissa was a little chicken! We really only went out for no longer than 20 minutes, but it was so much fun! We visited with various neighbors, which we only see on a holiday day-off. We also stopped by our other neighbor's (Joan & Sal - and their dog, Jeeves) house.

It was really a very pleasant evening. We can't wait to celebrate Shayna's birthday tomorrow... and her party on Saturday!

Almost 2....

Sorry it's been so long since my last post, but with working and our trip to Henderson, NV to visit family, it's been really hard to get busy on the Blog. Not too much to report, other than Shayna is sick...again... but it's just a fever and runny nose - not the dreaded stomach flu! Thank G-d! Here is a picture of Shayna riding a horse! She loves to ride!

Mark is still working on our roof - YES, he is doing this all by himself and NO I do not have a picture of him.

Here is a picture of my mom with Shayna on the carousel.

Here I am with Shayna on the
choo choo train!

It's so hard to believe that she is goingto be 2 years old next Wednesday! My, how time flies!

Autumn at the Beach

Here in Long Beach we know it's Autumn when the local empty dirt parking lot on PCH in Seal Beach becomes, "Pa's Pumpkin Patch." Last year I took Shayna to this pumpkin patch and she was really too little to enjoy it's festive auora. This year, however, it's a bit different - what a difference one year makes!

Here is a picture of Shayna last year at Pa's Pumpkin Patch!

And... here she is this year!

Here's Mommy & Shayna!

I just LOVE this picture of her on the train!

Check out Shayna dancing!

Onay Oremay Ottlebay!

For those of you who do not speak Pig Latin - Onay oremay ottlebay means, "NO MORE BOTTLE!" Yippeeee.... we are done with bottles! Shayna is now drinking her milk with her sippy cup. She loves milk! It's so cool! We don't even have to add chocolate with it! It is so amazing how quickly everything happens... what I'm not looking forward to is the continuing potty training fun! Shayna is awesome and I know when she's ready, she'll let us know!
Here are some cute videos!

Happy 35th Anniversary to Shayna's Grandparents, Art & Lynn!

Cute Pics of the Week

The Best!

Every day just keeps getting better and better! Shayna has
really taken a liking to bubbles. Everything she says is followed by, "Mommy...bubbles!" She could sit there for HOURS and blow bubbles. It is the cutest thing! She is really growing up WAY TOO FAST! She will be 2 years old in less than a month. For the past week, Shayna has really been putting words together to form sentences. It's really neat how one day she's saying only one word then the next day it's two...then the next day it's three! We were driving together this morning in the car and the whole time she was talking...Mommy, look...puppy....Mommy puppy home eat. It's really neat. With words, come, "Mommy, pee-pee." OMG... she knows when it's coming. I ask her if she wants to go on the "Big-Girl" toilet and she says, "yes." So we run to the bathrrom and I sit her on her Big-Girl seat. She just stares at me - deer in the headlights (I know it's a cliche, but it's the only way to describe it). No pee pee - but she's got a monsterous handful of TP! I turn my back for one second to close up the diaper I just ripped off of her and WHAMO - a whole roll wadded up in her hand.
It's so cute!

Here is a picture of Shayna doing what she does best! Check out the bow in her hair... she likes to wear a bow in her hair while she blows bubbles... when her gets caught up in a newly formed bubble it tends to pop. She's really serious about this!
